Defense Minister Naftali Bennett (Yamina) addressed sanitation workers this evening, thanking them for their essential contribution to the economy and the health of the population.
"Together with doctors and nurses, scientists and police, there are extremely valuable people who deserve an enormous thank you," he said. "These are sanitation workers, who continue their work in the public sphere despite the danger this poses to them.
"In hospitals and clinics, police stations and army bases, as well as factories producing foodstuffs, they clean the places no one wants to clean. I thank all of you in this battle against coronavirus. You are fighting the battle of hygiene that protects our lives," the Defense Minister said.
