Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Asher Vaknin has made the decision to remove the director of the Ofer Prison from his post, due to an unauthorized order he made.
The matter concerns permission the director gave for a bulk purchase of cigarettes for prisoners without being authorized to make such a purchase.
