The Employment Service reports a significant slowdown in the number of new applicants: "From yesterday (Saturday) at 6pm to today (Sunday) at 6am, only 8,050 people registered on their website, so there are now 511,965 new members starting in March."
The Employment Service explained the slowdown in recent days (Friday-Saturday) because "probably the first wave of tourism, hotels, aviation, catering, etc. has exhausted itself. It is too early to know if we will stop here because if more sectors or other sectors enter, there may be another big wave of new applicants. The unemployment rate is 16.5 percent. Before the outbreak of the crisis, the unemployment rate was about 4%."
