The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany rose by 2,705 in a single day, bringing the total number to 16,662, the Robert Koch Institute reported Saturday.
Sixteen people died of the disease between Friday and Saturday, the Insititute said, bringing the total number of fatalities to 47.
