MK Iman Khatib-Yasin (Joint List) on Thursday sent a letter to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, requesting that he prevent the order prohibiting residents of eastern Jerusalem be from moving to the western part of the city.
Khatib-Yasin wrote to the Attorney General that this decision "would create a false impression of distinction between blood and blood, as though one is contaminated, and contact with him should be avoided, while the other should be kept clean. The fight against coronavirus, as justified as it is, should not be used to legalize actions which reek of discrimination.”
