Prime Minister Netanyahu called for unity with Blue and White using an IDF exercise to emphasize his point. As part of IDF basic training, speed-marching in full gear of up to 100 kilometers at a time is undertaken and all along the way a "wounded" soldier lies elevated above four soldiers who march under the stretcher as it rests on their shoulders.
Those in the march rotate the task of carrying the soldier on the stretcher. The coronavirus crisis is the soldier on the stretcher, Netanyahu appears to be saying, and all of Israel needs to be prepared to get under the stretcher and carry it together throughout the long march of this crisis.
