Between 6 pm on Wednesday and 8 am Thursday, 95,600 jobseekers were registered with the Employment Service.
As of the beginning of March, a total of approximately 330,000 jobseekers have registered - 86% of them on unpaid leave due to the coronavirus. Employment Service Director Rami Garor made it clear, "Contrary to recent irresponsible statements - registration in the employment service remains obligatory. Only in this way can the rights of jobseekers in Israel be preserved and solutions created for them - for the crisis and the day that follows."
