Chairman Yoav Ben Tzur of the Shas Party Knesset faction has asked Welfare Minister Ofir Akunis to allow factories producing wine, matzah and basic products for Passover to continue to produce them in the event that a general shutdown is imposed on the economy because of the coronavirus.
Member of Knesset Ben Tzur is also calling on Akunis to stop the collection of payment from some family care and other daycare centers supervised by his ministry of Welfare, noting that they have stopped working and have put staff on unpaid leave.
