European Central Bank launches emergency package to ease coronavirus impact

The European Central Bank (ECB) on Wednesday launched an emergency $820 billion package to ease the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The bank will buy government and company debt across the eurozone, including that of Greece and Italy.
