'The damage to the economy has already been done'

Bezalel Treiber, formerly the head of the National Emergency Management Authority, commented on the coronavirus outbreak in an interview on Reshet Bet radio on Thursday night.

"The damage to the economy has already been done. I do not understand why they did not declare an emergency a few days ago, it would have allowed the local authorities to get organized, especially on welfare issues," he said.
