Blue and White MK Yoaz Hendel referred in a post on his personal Facebook page to the coronavirus crisis and attempts to form a government.

"We're in crisis. I ask everyone to calm down. The coronavirus crisis does not make controversies and political aspirations disappear, doesn't make the baseless hatred disappear, or the ethical problems of making a prime minister with indictments the norm.

"Still, such a crisis requires us to put the value of mutual responsibility first. To act responsibly as one elected to lead the State of Israel," he wrote.

"Around me, there are quite a few friends and family who have been in financial distress. More and more Israelis will feel it on their flesh in the near future. This is a struggle we haven't known in recent years. Solidarity and responsible leadership are needed here."
