The security and emergency services in Modiin, assisted by the fire department and police, have begun disinfection operations in the public spaces in the city's Avnei Hen neighborhood, where 10 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, and 3,000 of the neighborhood's 11,000 residents are under quarantine.

Vehicles with loudspeakers went through the neighborhood late Tuesday morning to announce the campaign, making it clear that that the disinfectant was not a toxic or dangerous substance but emphasizing: "In order to enable an effective disinfection, we ask you to not be in the public domain until the operation is completed."
