Member of Knesset Yoav Segalovitz (Blue and White) says that the establishment of Knesset committees should be immediately implemented to oversee the conduct of the transition government. A member of the House Committee in the last Knesset, Segalovitz said, "At this moment there is no parliamentary oversight of government actions. A transitional government that does not have the confidence of the Knesset has passed regulations without any supervision. The Speaker of the Knesset is holding his seat in the name of the orona[virus]."
Commenting on the fact that the only order of business on Monday was the swearing in of the new Knesset, Segalovitz said, "Committees should have been formed yesterday. The paralysis of the Knesset is a scandal that must be stopped. Knesset committees must be established today. The emergency situation only emphasizes the need for supervision."
