Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber told public radio, Tuesday morning, why Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit agreed emergency regulations that allow cellular pinpointing of coronavirius patients, saying, "The information that is being passed is very defined in that its sole purpose is to assist in the rapid detection of patients and people around them. The Shabak [Israel Security Agency -ed.] does not intend to help enforce the isolation on people."
Zilber said, "The government presented the need. The one who was at the forefront was the Ministry of Health, which presented professional and unequivocal opinions. The regulations that were imposed are valid for only 14 days. It is the hope of us all is that things will not get worse."
