Minister Gilad Erdan told public radio, Monday, "I believe that within 72 hours a national emergency government will be set up, headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu." Arden said in an interview here. Addressing the state of emergency due to the spread of the coronavirus, and the possibility of exacerbating restrictions to the public, he said that "in the situation that we are in, we need to constantly make assessments between the worsening of the spread and the damage to the economy."
Responding to the Yisrael Beytenu bill to oust a prime minister with indictments during the transition-government period, Erdan said, "It sounds to me like another political combination of people who can't win at the ballot box. It never worked and won't work this time either. This is not the way. We currently understand that the public wants to see an emergency government set up, which is starting to make necessary decisions."
