Am-Shalem Singson, a 2017 immigrant from the Bnei Menashe community of northeastern India, was attacked Saturday night by two thugs in downtown Tiberias after he was believed to be Chinese.
The thugs shouted "Corona Corona" while kicking him hard. HIs explanation that he was from the Bnei Menashe community did not help. The student at the hesder yeshiva in Maalot was admitted to Poriya Hospital with severe chest injuries. His condition is moderate and stable.
