Education Minister Rabbi Rafi Peretz announced, Sunday, that Naomi Stuchiner has been awarded a lifetime achievement Israel Prize.
Stuchiner, who immigrated from South Africa with her husband and established her home in Israel, devotes her life to social work. The high point of her activities was the founding of the Raanana's Beit Issie Shapiro, Israel’s leading developer and provider of innovative therapies and state-of-the-art services for children and adults across the entire range of disabilities, which affects the lives of half a million people annually. The facility has become an instrument of social change for people with disabilities and has brought about a significant change in social perception, national policy and equal opportunities for these people.
