The Rabbinical Council of Bergen County, New Jersey, including the city of Teaneck, has closed all synagogues in the area. Rabbis and congregants are to pray at home. All Jewish schools have been closed and public celebrations are prohibited. Shiva calls (at mourners' homes) are to be made through digital devices. Mikvehs (ritual baths), however, will remain open.
