Tel Aviv's Cameri Theater has closed its doors until a new announcement, in light of the Health Ministry's instructions not to hold gatherings with more than 100 participants. Zappa nightclubs across the country have also postponed performances until further notice.
The Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra sent ticketholders home on Wednesday evening but played without an audience for the sake of a live broadcast transmitted on its Facebook page. The Habima Theater proceeded with its performances before audiences, CEO Noam Semel explaining, "The prime minister's directive was already late for us as the audience was already in the halls. I decided not to create panic and ordered the show managers to open the halls." Semel announced on Thursday morning that the theater was cancelling its shows around the country until April 30th.
