The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court today convicted Dudi Cohen (44) of Rishon LeZion in an amended indictment, on 14 charges of fraudulently obtaining in aggravated circumstances, entering Israel illegally, and disrupting legal proceedings.

According to the amended indictment, Cohen admitted he was involved in 14 cases of smuggling foreign nationals, mostly of Georgian origin, to Israel through the Ben Gurion border crossing, using Israeli collaborators.

Cohen's method of operation was implemented using unique means, including flying abroad and financing the stay of the collaborators abroad, coordinating the return of the collaborators to Israel via Ben Gurion Airport, and the smugglers whom Cohen sought to bring to Israel.

Upon their arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Cohen instructed the collaborators to hand over the transfer certificates they had issued to smugglers, so that they could exit Ben Gurion without delay, while the collaborators smuggled them from Ben Gurion Airport using various concealment techniques.
