The National Guard has been sent to New Rochelle, New York, to create a one mile containment zone. This measure has been adopted by Governor Andrew Cuomo since New Rochelle in Westchester County is considered to be the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the state. 108 residents of New Rochelle have been infected with the virus, many of them from a Jewish attorney in his fifties who has a son at Yeshiva University. Those residing in the containment area will have food delivered to them by the National Guard. All services at Young Israel of New Rochelle have been canceled.
