Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz has denied reports that United States Vice President Mike Pence asked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to keep Israel's new home-isolation policy for the coronavirus from focusing on the US and several European countries, but to include all countries of the world.
Steinitz told Galei Tzahal radio, “There were understandings with the US in advance. There was no political element in making the anti-corona guidelines tougher." He also said, "We're taking all precautions so that there is no spreading [of the virus] in power plants. We are preparing so that we can continue to supply electricity, water and gas."
