The Central Election Committee said on Monday that the vast majority of the results from the polling stations that were examined did not show any defect.
Marking the end of its examination of the results, the committee said results had to be corrected in only 81 of the 317 polling places (about 26 percent). Results from three polling stations in Iksal and Lod were transferred to the police on Sunday for investigation and improper votes were disqualified. A few more polling stations will be forwarded to the police investigation next week, after a number of inquiries concerning them have been completed.
