Trading at the New York Stock Exchange was halted for 15 minutes on Monday after the top three indices crashed by more than 7 percent.
The plunge was prompted by the coronavirus, coupled with a plunge in oil prices brought on by a failure among the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries to reach a deal on output.
