Judge's Ombudsman retired judge Uri Shoham recommends that the Dayanim Committee decide to immediately terminate the tenure of a dayan at the regional rabbinical court after it became clear that the dayan participated in preparing the dayanut tests for his own son, and also graded his son's test book alongside another reviewer. Further, he did not inform anyone that he was in sharp conflict of interest.
The Ombudsman also recommended that, should the Dayan's son decide in the future to serve as a judge in a rabbinical court, this decision should be brought before the Dayanim Committee.
