The Prosecutor's Office filed a request for a hearing and decision in the extradition petition to Australia of Malka Leifer, suspected of committing sex offenses, and criticized the protracted extradition procedure.
"In the absence of a schedule to end the process, the violation of Israel's international commitment to conduct an effective extradition procedure is aggravated."
