Member of Knesset Nir Barkat, who was tagged by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu before the elections to be the Minister of Finance, said on Thursday, "Israel's economy is strong and stable, and under the proper management of the coronavirus crisis, we will succeed. At the moment, the focus should be on helping the affected sectors, and for this, a 10-billion-shekel fund should be set up for immediate state guarantees, a streaming security network and additional assistance as needed."
His proposal followed recent meetings with senior private-sector officials in the aviation, hotel and industrial sectors, as well as representatives of employers and employees.
