Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu encouraged Israelis on Wednesday to adopt Namaste - the Indian way of greeting - instead of the normal handshake as one of the measures to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, according to the Hindustan Times.
Accompanying the greeting, one brings ones palms and fingers together in front of one's face. At a news conference following a review meeting on fighting the spread of coronavirus, Netanyahu said that several measures will be announced to prevent the spread of coronavirus but mentioned Namaste by name and gave a demonstration.
