1,000 Syrians have been infected with the coronavirus as a result of their contact with Iranian citizens who are in Syria. As is the case with Iran, Syria is not reporting all pertinent data related to the disease outbreak in its country and is in conflict with the press over this matter. In Iran, 2,300 corona cases have been reported, including 23 members of the government.
