The Ministry of Religious Services has instructed religious councils across the country to ban immersion in a mikveh for women and men who are in home quarantine due to concern over infection with the coronavirus.

Women who need to be immersed in the mikvah and are in isolation are instructed to consult a rabbi. In a related matter, Chief Rabbi David Lau announced last week that men in isolation due to concern about the virus must obey doctors' instructions and are not obligated to pray in a minyan (ritual quorum).
