The Shas Party said on Monday that it will honor the injunction of the Central Election Committee against the party's distribution of candles or amulets against the coronavirus, even though it opposes the decision.

Referring to the petition which generated the injunction, a Shas statement said, "Again, Meretz, which claims to be open and liberal, has been trying to impose its way of life on a large, traditional and religious public which believes in the power of prayer and supernatural cures against evil and ill-fated ills. We intend to allow every citizen who wishes to receive the prayer and supernatural cures after the polls close and wish the health and success of all Israeli citizens."
