The Palestinian Authority Foreign Ministry claimed on Sunday that the Knesset election campaign exposes the depth of hatred and racism towards Palestinians and their rights. The ministry said, in a media release, that the United States peace plan has provided a platform of hostility and incitement against the Palestinians and spurred Israeli parties to compete for the electorate's hearts by adopting parts of the plan that are good for Israel and most of them have a perception that expression of greater hostility toward the Palestinian will improve their chances in the elections.
The release said the dominant discourse in most parties is adopting positions that ignore the Palestinian side and call to take over "occupied Palestinian land, consolidate the occupation and expand the settlement." It also claims that statements made by party representatives reflect the depth of racism and the culture of "occupation" and settlement in Israel, and this indicates that the Israeli regime is based on hatred, fascism and racism and that there is no real partner for peace in Israel.
