Contrary to election days in previous years, in which train lines were operated in a limited format, the Transportation Ministry and Israel Railways have decided to operate routes at full frequency for comprehensive service throughout the country.
On election day, a train ride will be free of charge, in accordance with ministry guidelines. Dedicated tickets will be issued on vending machines scattered across all train stations, Sunday at 8:00 am until Mondayat 11:59 pm. "National Daily Tickets" valid only for train travel will be distributed at the staffed ticketing offices, as well as by attendants at select stations.
