Former director Tamir Pardo of the Mossad intelligence agency attacked the government on Thursday on a number of security points. He told public radio, "It is unclear to me what the Israeli government wants."
Noting that Hamas and Jihad's operational capabilities in Gaza increase with each round of combat, he said he felt uncomfortable watching an Israeli bulldozer removing a terrorist's body from the Gaza border. He also spoke out against the lack of ambiguity in the context of the Israeli attack in Syria earlier this week, saying, "It makes the other side want to respond. No deterrence."
