Maya Moreno, widow of the late legendary special forces commando Emmanuel Moreno, spoke at the rally for Hadar Goldin, Oron Saul and Avera Mengistu, held by Hamas in Gaza.
"When a young man or woman joins the army, they go out of their private and personal realm and become messengers. The messengers of the people. I call it public envoys. From the moment you step into the recruitment base you are public envoys for the protection of the people and the homeland. We trust you to act for us."
"For the past five and a half years, the feeling is growing that we as a country cannot take responsibility for our role. That we have turned our backs on those who run forward for us, and have retreated in humiliation."
