Work began Monday on the Huwara bypass in Samaria. The 7.3 kilometer road, intended to eliminate clashes between Israelis and residents of the Palestinian Authority Shechem-area village of Huwara, will connect the Tapuach and Yitzhar Junctions and be a major artery for the residents of the area.

Paving is expected to be completed by 2023 at a cost of 260 million shekels.
