The Jerusalem Magistrates Court has extended the arrest of Rabbi Eliezer Berland by a day.
Berland is suspected of tax offenses. The judge refused to release him to the alternative of a hotel arrest at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and to allow him to be supervised by students from his yeshiva.
