Chairman Oded Ravivi of the Efrat local council has responded to reports that United States President Donald Trump's emissaries to the Territorial Mapping Committee on Judea and Samaria are on their way to Israel by saying, "President Trump is again proving to be serious and determined. The committee's arrival is a direct continuation of a meeting of Judea and Samaria council leaders last Thursday with US Ambassador David Friedman in Efrat. During the meeting, we heard from Friedman an appreciation of our desire to work with the Americans on the realization of the Deal of the Centruy and the promise of an attentive ear."
Revivi added, "We take a positive view of the dialog as not all leaders in the past, both in Washington and in Israel, have run such an open channel with the settlement leaders. We chose to be partners, get on board and secure the future of the settlement enterprise."
