Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu today convened a special COVID-19 assessment in the Health Ministry, with Health Minister Yaacov Litzman, government ministers, directors, chiefs of staff and other senior officials.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said at the beginning of the discussion: "We continue to prepare to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Israel. We conduct day-to-day assessments, and I will today appoint a team of ministers who will meet on a daily basis to address this major challenge.

"We are constantly reviewing our policy and adjusting it, and we adapt to the evolving circumstances. First of all, we are tightening entry into Israel from other countries. Today we will be adding Australia and Italy, and if needed we'll add other countries," he added.
