Ayelet Shaked will not settle for minor portfolios in a new right wing government. "The Likud loves the religious as long as they are small and pathetic and accept a portfolio such as science and space," she remarked. "But the Likud does not want to assign the defense and justice portfolios to the religious Zionists," she continued.
In an interview to be published tomorrow (Friday) in the Yisrael HaYom (Israel Today) newspaper, Shaked also accused Netanyahu of warning voters prior to the April, 2019, elections tnot to vote for the religious-Zionist parties. Shaked also has a problem with Rafi Peretz's relationship with the LGBT community where he encouraged, for example, homosexual aversion therapy. Shaked contrasts his attitude with that of the members of her Yamina party, who she says have a more open-mined attitude towards the LGBT community.
