In a new survey, 78% of Israelis say they want to disable Hamas as well as all terrorist groups in Judea and Samaria to the point where terrorism against Israel will be a thing of the past. 59% of Israelis hold that a total defeat of Hamas and Arab terror is possible as long as Israel has a strong will to do so, in the same way that ISIS was defeated. The vast majority of Israelis think that the government's approach to fighting Hamas and terror generally is soft and many consider any ceasefire with Hamas as a form of surrender.

The survey was taken in conjunction with large billboards that were placed in Tel Aviv that picture Palestinian authority leader Abu Mazen and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh blindfolded and on their knees. The billboards are the work of the Middle East Forum, a group that sees total victory over Hamas and other terrorist groups as the only sensible goal of Israel and the West.
