After reciting Hannah's prayer, Kelly Johnson, the wife of Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson, became pregnant. (In the Bible, Hannah prayed in Shiloh for a son whom she would give over to G-d and soon after became pregnant and gave birth to the prophet Samuel.)
During a recent visit to Shiloh with her husband along with Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan and his wife, Kelly told her story. "We had much difficulty bringing children into the world so I took it upon myself to recite Hannah's prayer every day," she recalled. "After doing so for a white, we were blessed with a pregnancy that we so deeply desired and called the daughter that was born Hannah. We will happily return to here one day with our Hannah and would even hope to participate in digging up ancient Shiloh and so enjoy the privilege of uncovering ancient history."
