Minister of Defense Naftali Bennett, while speaking at a hesder yeshiva (men's seminary that combines Torah study with army service) , told the young recruits that "your Torah study, combined with army service, is the secret to peace."
"I have been visiting many yeshivot lately and each time I do I am filled with oxygen and all kinds of energy. I do not have many regrets in life but one of them is that I did not go to yeshiva prior to my army service."
Rav Eliyahu Mali, head of the yeshiva, said that "since Naftali Bennett has become Defense Minister we see his blessed influence everywhere and know that IDF officers are happy about his appointment as well."
