The Disabled, Not Half a Human Being organization petitioned the Supreme Court on Thursday to order the government to implement the Disabled Law of February 2018, a 4.341-billion-shekel amendment to the National Insurance Law, which should have increased disability benefits in a few installments to a minimum of NIS 3,700 by January 2021.

In practice, the disabled were paid only one installment out of the three, with the second one stipulated in the Law for 2020 not yet paid, due in part to the failure to submit the recommendations of the Inter-ministerial Committee in contravention of the law.
