Fire Brigade Officer Moshe Amar referred to the fire in Segev Shalom and told Kan News that had there been a smoke detector in the room they would have been alerted in the first few seconds the blaze would not even have begun.
"The parents would have heard the beeping and the harsh result could have been avoided."
