Rafi Peretz, Minister of Education, visited the Sdot Regional council and singled out the population living on the border with Gaza for special praise. "It's just fantastic to witness your strength. From a distance many people think that life here must be full of fear," Peretz said, "but you are proof that they are mistaken and that your spirit prevails over everything. Of course, the present situation must cease immediately and your daily routine must be no less normal than that of every other resident of Israel. Yet your meeting the challenges you face is most inspiring."
Peretz also attended a play acted by children with special needs. He stressed the importance of developing warm relationships with such children and that their needs should come first in our educational priorities.
