The Task Force of Temple Mount groups is demanding a change in the restrictive rules on the Temple Mount that led to Tuesday morning's arrest of former Knesset member Judah Glick. A statement by the task force said, "It is unthinkable that in the holiest place for the people of Israel, the [Muslim] rioters are permitted to walk freely and the Jewish worshipers are repressed into secured groups and repressed routes, which lead to the arrest of innocents for not complying with the harsh and restrictive rules."
The statement concluded, "The political echelon must ensure that the Temple Mount is properly secured so that Jews can walk there freely, or divide the entry hours if there is no security response."
