Former White House special envoy Jason Greeblatt dismissed speculation that Israel could apply sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria before the March 2nd general election.

On Thursday, Greenblatt said he was confident that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would refrain from applying sovereignty until after a joint US-Israeli commission had finished mapping out the area to be placed under Israeli law.

"I'm certain that the Israeli government will do this with full cooperation with the White House, but that really is a decision that Israel needs to make."
