Police are seeking to extend the detention of Rabbi Eliezer Berland by nine days.
The rabbi, his wife and senior members of his Shuvu Banim community were arrested this week on tax offenses. A suspicion of making threats has been added. A police representative told a court hearing on Thursday that there is concern that Berland will try to flee the country if he is released.
