Chairman Ayman Odeh of the Joint List of predominantly-Arab parties has described the puncturing of tires and spray-painting of graffiti in the Upper Galilee Arab village of Jish as "a heinous hate crime and a bad morning for Arab society and anyone who believes in equality and democracy."

Knesset member Odeh added, "For weeks [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu has been sending us one message - you are not welcome. Today we see the results. From the racist right we have no expectations. The question is whether one who claims to be an alternative will remain silent in the face of the incitement and violence raging against Arab citizens."
